Data comes from official sources such as NOAA and the National Weather Service, verified webcam providers, county and municipal beach-flag programs, and community reports submitted by people on the sand right now.

Community reports are moderated, weighted by recency and never sold. Restaurant and activity rankings are editorial — placement is never for sale.
